Preventing Herpes

Herpes is a bothersome disease that causes emotional distress for some people. It is a disease that has no cure to remove the infection of herpes. Instead there are only medications to shorten the recurrent outbreaks, give some relief when it reoccurs, and prevent the recurrence. The good thing is, after the primary outbreaks you may already consider it to b lucky when the recurrence only happens a few times in your lifetime. Some recurrence of herpes to people happens 4 to 6 times a year.

Having the disease prevented to you is easier than having it cured, as the cure or vaccine has not yet been found. However various preventive measures can be done. By practicing these preventive measures, you can also be kind to your sexual partner by not transmitting the disease to him or her.

1. Try to talk with your partner about STD’s. It may destroy the moment when the both of you are now entering into the groove. But having being able to talk about it before making love is better and the both of you will have no fear of contacting the disease. Try to find out whether either one of you is at risk on STD because it is quite possible to be infected without knowing it. Just try to ask questions that may not be incriminating because if you do you might break up.
2. If you are being treated for an STD avoid having any sexual contact. Don’t be a bad person where you would like others to experience the same pain you have had. If you suspect you have STD, have it checked out first before having sex. The disease you spread is contagious and try to have some compassion to others that you might infect.
3. If you suspect that a person has STD be polite to ask her and try to prevent having sexual contact with him or her. However don’t try to be scared with him or her like she has a disease that can kill you. Just be polite to say no or use protection.
4. To some it may be cool if they sleep with lots of people. In reality it will be the cause of your problems. Having more sexual partners will cause you to be more at risk with STD.
5. Try to use protection such as condoms to prevent the spread of the disease. Especially if you really like having sex with lots of people or your partner really has STD. There are condoms available for both male and female.
